Default Monk Hero or Hench?

I was just wondering about if it would be better to take two monk heroes and know that they are pretty good cause you can kit them out or is it better to take two monk hench and then you have space to take two other heroes that may be better like two eles or whatever?

Depends on where you are. If there is no unusual situation, The 2 monk henchies do just fine for me, especially if using a N/Rt healer too!

depending on where you are the hench monk builds change, in most places they suck so get hero monks. if the area your in doesnt require a lot of monkingness, then go with henchies and bring damage in the heros.

i never use a hero monk, waste of a hero slot if u ask me.
N/Rt healer and 1 monk hench has always sufficed me just
fine in HM missions and vanquishing.

even with 3 energy management skills and all 5 energy skills
hero monks still find a way to sit at 0 energy.

I think its probably fair to say that henchmen in general are pretty crappy. Still, its been my experience that the monk henchies are generally the best of the lot. I usually take the 2 monk henchies are use my hero spots for more specific uses, like party support, condition spam, MM, necro/rit ... basically things that henchies can't do well (or at all). If you're in normal mode than there is no reason why the 2 henchie monks should not be sufficient... they may not have a perfect track record, but unless you play stupidly you should be able to complete your goals. Hard mode is similar, but you'll probably want additional support from a N/Rt or Paragon.

Henchmen.

Perfect hero monks would do basically same thing as henchmen anyway, they would be fancy hybrids but healer and protector henches do Bars go up/Bars dont go down reasonably and you woudn't get much more from heroes unless you make em suck at their job.

Perfect non-monk heroes can do powerfull things that henchmen can't (utility and whatnot.) at no cost to their damage dealing potential.

No brainer, really.

The difference between Monk Henchmen and Monk Heroes isn't worth noting. The difference between damage henchmen and damage heroes is enormous. Bring Monk Hench.

if both suck why would you waste hero slots to replace the suck monk henchmen with suck monk heroes?

Monk henchies are good as long as they have infinite energy or the fight is short enough that they won't have an energy problem.

The fact that sab used a healer hero is because in many places in HM, fights are not easy, enemies hit hard and often and monk henchies just do not have the energy to keep up. But of course if you have lots of consummables to waste, along with 1 or more Imbagons in your team, then monsters wont be hitting so hard and monk henchies may be ok most of the time even in HM.

Without consummables (I regard consummables as using cheats and I dont use them even in HM) and Imbagons in your team, I bring healer heroes rather than healer henchies for high level areas in HM.

You guys should try all the Slavers dungeons in HM using just H/H without consummables and without using an Imbagon. Then come back with screenshots of your hench healers.
